Lily the owner was wonderful, food was excellent and desert was just as good. We got the Tuna, Chicken, Shrimp and Sea bass . Portions were nice. For desert we got the bread pudding, which was hand made and excellent. The atmosphere was very nice with the outdoor patio. As far as prices, I would give it a $$$ out of 4 I will definitely return.

The restaurant is a little hidden some say hard to find but when you do find it you'll be in for a treat. Serving the most amazing short rib dinners I've ever had and the fresh ahi tuna main coarse delray has to offer. When you come here you read the menu and think to yourself somebody really put a lot of time and effort getting the ingredients just right before they put it on a plate unlike so many restaurants I've dined at in delray beach. Service is great, specialty cocktails as well. 5 stars and will defiantly make this my go to spot!

An outstanding restaurant in a perfect location with ample parking. The Patio Burger and the Grilled Shrimp Alfredo are personal favorites. I say skip Atlantic Ave with the parking shortage, crowds and overpriced food. On Atlantic Ave you're paying too much for the venue and most who go there just pay to be seen. Well, nuts to that. Head over to Patio Delray on Palm Trail and you'll remember it fondly. Been eating here for 4 years and never once disappointed. For desserts try the bread pudding or brownie.

So sad that I didn't take pics, I was to busy devouring the Amazing food! The house salad with passion fruit vinagrette is so light and refreshing. I don't know the last time I loved a house salad so much! I had the Indonesian shrimp with mixed vegetables and jasmine rice. It was crazy good! The different spices, textures and flavors were remarkable. Staff is very attentive, extremely nice and friendly. Would recommend that anyone coming through Delray Beach MUST stop here!

This is a really delicious place that's kind of hidden back in Delray. Wonderful for brunch. It's got a nice atmosphere, good variety on the menu, and isn't busy at all. Another plus? It's a short walk to the local beaches. I came with a group of 6 to enjoy brunch and bottomless mimosas. I'm always weary of bottomless mimosas and rarely get them because they are usually made with the worst orange juice ever. (I could care less about the wine, funny enough). They actually use decent, fresh squeezed orange juice, which convinced me to get some. They are definitely worth it! I ordered a simple breakfast - bacon & eggs, only I got some extra fruit instead of bacon. I got 4 slices of pineapple - which were fresh and yummy and beat out what most places think of as fruit (canned fruit cocktail). The eggs were done perfectly, the hash browns (more like home fries) were really yummy, and the wheat toast is a really dense, yummy whole grain. Overall, a great little brunch spot.

Liked it a lot - nice place that's kind of hidden away so it doesn't get the annoying crowds. Food and service were both great. Will be back.

So for valentine's this year, we wanted to try a new place. This place didn't disappoint at all. We made a 7:00 reservation which to my surprise we waited for a table. However, we were greeted by what seemed to be the owner. The ambiance was nice and elegant which gave us the feel of the occasion. On to the food: we started out with a ceasar salad and ceviche to share. The salad was good but I didnt care too much for the ceviche. It was just ok and a bit overpriced for hardly any seafood. The service was very good and they changed our silverware and drinks often. For the main course, we both had the surf and turf. It included a 16oz strip steak accompanied by asparagus, macaroni and cheese, lobster taill, and king crab leg. Now, this was delicious but my only suggestion is that they should have explained how the surf is served because we did not know until it came out. They top the macaroni with lobster and crab out of the shell , mixed inside. Different way of eating a surf, but still tasty. The steak was the star of this meal. This was one of the best strip steaks ever. Dessert was a scrumptious brownie which was like a lava cake. So good. We can't wait to return to explore the menu here.

I've been debating back and forth and back and forth on whether to give Patio 1 or 2 stars. I opted for 1 because 2 would be too much. I wish I could give a 1.5 stars. How did I end up here? Well, I tried to make reservations at my favorite Brunch place in Delray, but they (which will remain unnamed) were booked because it was Mothers Day, and I was too late. The unnamed though recommended we try Patio because they had a similar style brunch. After though looking at the reviews and website, I was a little apprehensive. People complained that the service was bad and that the food was not that good. But then, there were also other great reviews and we were recommended by my favorite place. So, we booked and went for mothers day. First off.... $60 per person for Sunday Brunch with unlimited bloody mary's, mimosas, orange juice, etc. They have a hefty menu of salads, seafood, carved meats, breakfast items.... all which are buffet style. I'm thinking a large area with buffet, lots of room, fresh meats.... WRONG. Yes, they do have a variety of seafood on ice... oysters, peel and eat shrimp, mussels, crayfish, scallops... but here's the problem... the area for the buffet is so small, it's all crammed together. You get some oysters and they are stacked on top of each other, so you don't only get oysters, but you get oyster shells in it too. The snow crabs were frozen... no shell "cracker" to be seen. Have to do with what you have. Then you turn 180 degrees, careful not to trip over the people all around you, and you have hot plates of sorts. Eggs, sausage, bacon, eggs benedict... all very good selections, but cold.... prime rib soaking in some liquid that looked like it wanted to be au jous, but I'm still not certain. Everything was cold. But you make that 180 turn again and don't trip over people, and there is the salad bar.... I'm still looking for the seaweed salad. ..... ...... ...... still looking. But let's not stop there. Ok, so there is the issue of dessert. Let's get to it now. Again, you get this long list of desserts that will be offered. All these dessert "shot".... NONE. I mean, the owner told another group that they ran out. They provided us with desserts that were so stale and mediocre. I took a bite of the brownie and regretted it immediately. I think they used the same pan that they cooked something with garlic in. Bloody mary's were good. Didn't have a mimosa. But the worst part of it all, and this is what kills me... the service. We truly had the worst service. Our waitress never came over to our table. We got up ourselves, walked over to the buffet. Finally a waitress came over, and asked if we wanted water. And we didn't see her again. Finally we were able to ask for a bloody mary. And we never saw her again. We had to ask another waiter for help. He was much more attentive. The waitress did come around 45 minutes later to ask if we needed anything. Yes, the bill..... that is all. I really went in with high expectations. Unfortunately, Patio fell flat. I don't think I'll be running back for Sunday Brunch any time soon.

It was ok, scallops were excellent but my fish and potatoes were cold! Dessert shooters are great, our server was good until it took her 10 minutes to come back with my bf cc. Overpriced for what we experienced, won't come back..

Irish??? yeah, the corned-beef & cabbage washed down w/ Guinness & Dewar's shots were great...NOT!!! - THIS IS NOT AN IRISH PLACE!!! (and neither is the Chinese proprietor) - (Yelp classification screw-up) On the other hand, if you want to discuss the dinner I just finished there we have something to relate... Had never seen an appetizer of bacon & blue cheese stuffed dates (w/ artistically zig-zagged chocolate sauce on plate) before so had to go there -- even leaving aside that I am just back from Burning Man which is the world's largest baconfest this was divine!!! Entrée Jambalaya was enough for 2 people and filled w/ more than the usual number of prawns and big chunks of chicken - would have been better if the sausage were also sliced as chunks to mesh w/ the prawns and chicken as an equal instead of small-cubed and mixed in w/ rice to really get the full flavor but that is my only crit. Next visit (and there will be one) I will try to save a bit more belly room to try the desserts -- from other reviews I want to try the Croissant Bread Pudding and am curious about "Today's Crème Brule" and how it might vary... Overall, can't go wrong so by all means stop by for a wonderful meal.... ps, not a bad martini (see pic)...

Rip off Poor quality food. Rip off, followed up with a quality of food that belongs in a hight school cafeteria. Being charged to split entrées ($6) is ridiculous when one order an appetizer and two main meals for two people. Glasses were constantly empty and the seafood was poor quality. The owner is sweet at times and obnoxious the rest of the time. Will never eat there again.

I didn't know what to expect when we arrived here with family. There were great a reviews online for this intracoastal restaurant. We expected a nice Sunday brunch outdoors with a view of the water. This restaurant is not on the water! Its a few blocks from the water. Food-wise, if you enjoy eggs benedict then this is the place for you. Literally, everything on the menu was a version of eggs benedict with a different protein. The freshly squeezed orange juice was made with rotten oranges. The pineapple was rotten. It took forever to get our food. There was 1 other table, and our food took 45 minutes to make 5 versions of eggs benedict. Pretty bad.

What a treasure. We visit Delray every year for 2 weeks and we always dine at Patio Delray at least twice. This visit we enjoyed Sunday brunch - fabulous and the bottomless mimosas were very generous. The crab cake Benedict was delightful and the more traditional Eggs Benedict was very satisfying. Then we went back for dinner. The Indonesian Shrimp dish was very tasty. It's always great to have yummy Gulf shrimp. The shortrib dish is delicious and the portion is very generous. The lush gardens make for a lovely dining environment. We've also dined inside the cozy, well-appointed restaurant. Ms. Lilly runs a tight ship and keeps a watchful eye over all of her guests. It is clear to see there are many frequent visitors and we're pleased to be working our way onto that list.

Off the beaten path of the Ave. low key, tropical island outside patio seating. Inside is very nice and clean white clean linens with pleasant people and very friendly staff. We ordered an app: the chicken veggie dumplings with some delicious sauce. The ahi Tuna was a large portion and amazingly delicious mango chutney. Price is comfortable and worth every $.

Delicious Food. Great menu with a lot to choose from. Everything was fresh and fantastic! Beautiful inside and out. Very, very clean and the waiter was amazing. The biggest problem.... TOO MANY DELICIOUS ITEMS TO CHOOSE FROM! I can't wait to go back.

I've been meaning to come here for a while but never got around to it. I went for brunch with a friend and there was no one there but us. We had the bloody mary which could have been more spicy and some breakfast foods. I really enjoyed my dish. It was poached eggs over a crab cake smothered in hollandaise sauce on a croissant. We sat there for hours talking and watched the lunch crowd come and go. It was really nice of the owner to let us sit and talk until we were ready to go.

This is a very good asian european fusion-type restaurant. The seating outside looked very comfortable, but we sat inside and enjoyed fitting music for the ambiance and a lively vegetation display all around, as well in photographs displayed on the walls. The tables each had unique charactered salt and pepper shakers. The complimentary bread was unique, like a pizza shaped dough with pepper and spices, very tasty, not too filling. The menu was full of possible options, I had the vegan noodle bowl which was subtle but delicious, and my partner had the all-natural murray's chicken dish, which I have to say is one of the best chicken experiences I have ever had. 5 stars just for that amazing poultry heaven spotlight. The wine was very nice, we had a malbec that was perfectly fitting. I recommend it highly for the great food and relaxing space, you won't be disappointed.

I bought a Groupon and decided to try this place out. I was very excited to see tofu as an option for several dishes on the menu. I really enjoyed this restaurant. Honestly my boyfriend did not. I ordered Singapore Noodles and had the meat replaced with tofu. I thought it was very flavorful and that there was a lot of food. He eats meat and he ordered chicken. He said part of the chicken was delicious but he found part of it inedible because it had a lot of fat on it. He also said he did not feel full after the meal, which I did. We decided to order dessert. He ordered a bread pudding made with banana and croissant. I occasionally will indulge in a little dairy so I tried some of his dessert. I thought it was incredible. He was not too crazy about it. Despite the difference in opinion I enjoyed this restaurant. I thought it was nice and I liked the food. I don't think I would come here without a daily deal because I do think it's a little overpriced.

After reading all the mixed reviews on Yelp, I decided to purchase a groupon, and try this place for myself. I was surprised of the location, being that it is away from the Avenue, and it's on the way to the beach, I must have passed it multiple times and never noticed it. Located in a quiet strip mall, parking was a breeze. As soon as we walked up, the place look super inviting, and I almost wished it wasn't so hot and humid tonight to sit outside, there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Lovely decor, (I would see this place for brunch busy) After being seated inside, by what I believe was the owner, I could see there was only 1 other couple and us. We were given a dinner menu and a Sunset special dinner menu ( $19 includes appetizer salad, choice of entree, and dessert plus soft drink or tea) Nice deal, however, since I was using a Groupon I couldn't combine this with any other promotions. Our server was Max, he was very professional and seemed to know his specials very well, he brought us out a grilled pita flatbread with some tomato pesto spread, (complimentary) & it was very good. My mother ordered the Pork tenderloin, it was super moist, good flavors, and served with jasmine rice. I ordered the special, grouper cheek bites, our server said it was "the filet mignon of the fish." I wasn't impressed, it was somewhat like chicken but very fishy, and chewy. I'd rather have had my moms meal. I was going to order dessert but I passed, we had a great time and the service was perfect. Is it worth a try? Yes, but anything super special, no.

Patio Delray is a true hidden gem, our party was amazed by the ambience, service and food. We found Patio on Yelp and its ideal for a Sunday brunch or evening meal when you want great food, a peaceful and beautiful ambience and aren't in the mood to deal with Atlantic Ave. parking or crowd madness. Each of our entrees on the Sunday brunch menu were excellent, prepared and presented superbly. Our server was attentive and friendly, steered us in the right directions and was prompt when we reordered drinks. Highly recommend Patio Delray.

Smoke and mirrors. Over priced. Bland, uninspired food served in nice dishes by a good wait staff, which is why I'm giving it two stars. A perfect example, their crème brulee tasted like Jello-brand vanilla pudding, cold by the way, served in a nice carafe with a nice glaze. We were a big table of 6 adults, two young boys and a toddler all ever so well behaved. What I did not appreciate is the owner checking on all the other tables but ours until the end when she handed us the nearly $500 check with a barely audible thank you. Earlier my wife with my child asked for directions to the restroom. The owner without lifting her eyes off whatever paperwork she was looking out pointed in the direction of the facilities. I call that being very rude and condescending. Maybe it's because we are of Indian decent, who knows.

So I purchased a groupon social for this place also. Let me start by saying we went there at least 2 or 3 times just to find the placed was closed so it seems they have some odd hours. Finally we made it one weekend for dinner and as we are walking in the only word that comes to mind is creepy. It was COMPLETELY empty. Now I hate crowds but this was just weird and uncomfortable. We asked to sit outside but the hostess seemed to be trying to convince us to sit inside saying that there are bugs outside and that it may be too hot. Anyways we finally got a table outside... alone. At least it seemed a bit less creepy to sit outside alone rather than inside, but then they send one of the waiters to start picking up all the outside furniture while we are sitting there feeling almost like we are in his way. I will just say it was a very uncomfortable meal. Almost like eating at some strangers house whom you do not know. The hostess added to the uncomfortableness, she was not rude, but she didn't seem very friendly either, again almost like we were a bother by being there. In addition I apparently accidentally purchased a groupon for 4 people and not for 2 so the hostess told us we could use it for the paid value (meaning we basically get no deal) or come back another time with more people. Well I already knew I would not be back here so we cut our loses and used the paid value. I had the chicken alfredo which I was really craving some good alfredo at the time and I was disappointed. It wasn't horrible or inedible... it just wasn't great... or very alfredoy... if that makes any sense. It was their take on chicken alfredo but seemed to lack the rich flavors that make alfredo... alfredo. My girlfriend had the crab cakes and they had a very odd taste to them she was not able to finish them. They also had quite a few pieces of shell inside. Overall I would not return here. The atmosphere was creepy and the food was not worth the price.

It is worth driving off Atlantic Avenue for this place. (It is right across the street from the Catholic church.) Greeted by the owner. Nice stiff drinks at the bar. Had the lobster bisque with King Crab meat. Yummy. Kind of fishy more than creamy but really good. Fried calamari was good - not gummy. Caprese salad was fantastic. Big slices of really ripe tomato, mozzarella and a sort of basil paste (not quite pesto) with drizzle of oil and vinegar. I had the grilled shrimp pasta alfredo (with bleu cheese, which was very different) and my husband had the Singapore noodles with shrimp. Lots of curry and ginger and very tasty. Lots of great flavors. Nice atmosphere. Not crowded and noisy like the Avenue.

We live in Delray and frequent Atlantic Ave restaurants and after this experience we will continue to do so and avoid this off the Ave location. The food was ok at best. Their $15 burger doesn't compare to many places such as Park Tavern. The Alfredo Chicken was bland and the chicken was dry. To go along with the bland food was the sub par service that was slow and not helpful. My fiance asked for a recommendation and the servers response was that all their food is good. Bottom line, go a few minutes south and go to one of the much better restaurants on Atlantic.

I don't want to totally dog this place because the servers were super nice and extremely helpful, but...Yikes! We went for a Mother's Day brunch, which, in hindsight, was a bad idea. We did make early reservations and were seated promptly. Servers came by for drink orders and we took off to see what there was. Great selection, but all seafood was mediocre, except for oysters. They were fresh and cold. However, the eggs benedict, which if they were hot, would have been fantastic, but they were cold, so they were meh...I've experienced better. All in all, the decor reminds me of the Peacock Cafe in the Grove (your eldest Auntie's living room with peptobismol pink walls). I'm with Jennifer P. We tried to make reservations at another place and they recommended this restaurant. Me thinks the staff at the other (nameless) place should be careful about recommendations, especially when a 60 per person charge was a gross over charge. Ugh!

I found this restaurant by accident as was looking for reservation for 6 at a specific time. Well, we hit the lottery! The menu was appealing and very interesting, with a lot of Asian influence (and some Caribbean spices as well). We ate the tuna, crab cake, shrimp, pot stickers, and a few other items, and everything was delicious! The ambience was very pleasant and we were so happy it was not a loud scene - it was quite quiet - so we could enjoy conversation and good food. There were quirky/collection salt and pepper shakers on each table which were fun as well. After a fabulous meal, we were totally surprised when the owner Lily came by and offered us champagne for Chinese New Year! It was generous and unexpected and lovely. We had a nice long chat with her - she is friendly and warm. They also have outdoor seating right on the intercoastal that would have been perfect had it not been such a cold eve. We feel so lucky to have discovered this place on a fluke - and can't wait to go again!

Never go here!!! The woman who runs this place will surely run it into failure!! She is rude and doesn't believe in good customer service. This was my 3rd and last visit. Service sucked, the manager/owner was rude, it's over priced, they made up their own rules about this group in & she just straight up doesn't know how to keep people happy in a restaurant! Sad cause the food is great!!

I bought a groupon so decided to give this place a try. The menu is all over the place and overpriced. The service was offensive and terrible. I do not think anyone should be treated as poorly as we were, groupon or not, when dining out. With so many restaurants in the Delray Beach area, this one should be avoided.

From the beginning, it just wasn't right. In the late 1970's and early 1980's we ate at Patio Delray, a beautiful, elegant restaurant. When we saw the voucher, we knew we had to go back. As it turned out, the only thing that remained was the name. The location was different, the ambience was different, the food was different and the service was different. It is true that you can't go back. The service was lackluster. We were attended to by a trainee. Our double cut pork chops had to be sent back for further cooking--mine once, my wife's twice. Since this was a regular menu item, and not a special, the only conclusion to be drawn was that the cook lacked the skills to prepare it correctly. Even at the discount price, the food did not warrant the price. The meal was a la carte so no included soup, or salad etc. The sauce for the chops was tasty as were the polenta and asparagus. The restaurant was uncrowded on a Saturday night in season, but that may be due to the issues I mentioned above.

I give this place no stars. I have been to here a few times now. The first I met friends for brunch and though the meal was delicious and the services were terrible. I did not mind at the time because we had kids with us and family so we were playing catch up. The second time I returned because I liked the food and honestly forgot how terrible the service was. I sat there for 35 min and had one mimosa while never even asked for my order. It was impossible to get anyone's attention. I don't know how long I would have had to wait had I stayed. I since purchased a groupon and thought I would give it one last chance. Big mistake, the fine print and rules for the groupon made it very difficult to use so it has since expired. Now one would think that I should be able to use this groupon anytime for it's purchased value. Boy was I mistaken. My girlfriend called prior to us going and the women on the phone who was believed to be the owner was rude and basically told us we still had to follow all the rules of the groupon but for a lesser value now. I found this to be absurd so needless to say we did not use it and now I have to take it up with groupon or lose my $40. All in all if you are looking for terrible service and a half decent meal at a high price by all means please visit this place you will love it. I However will not return to this as some of you so eloquently put hidden gem off the beaten path.

Horrific doesn't even begin to describe what was supposed to be a special Mother's Day brunch for us. Our reservation was for 1:00, but we weren't seated until 1:45. This should have been a sign for things to come. We truly had non-existent waitservice, from water, to coffee, to drinks, to utensils, we pretty much were on the do-it-yourself plan. At $60 per plate, the selection at the buffet was decent, but not great, with refilling taking longer than acceptable. Then, for a party of 5, we were extorted for a 20% gratuity for essentially self-service. Such a disappointment and little value. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Food, ambiance, and hostess Lily were all incredible. Strongly suggest Patio Delray for a delicious meal! Short Rib fell right off the bone and the half chicken was really tasty! Was too full to check out dessert, but will do so for sure next time.

Based on Yelp Reviews we booked a reservation for Father's Day Brunch at Patio Delray. What a mistake. I should have been tipped off by the fact that it was empty most of time were were there. The only reason for 2 stars is because the wait staff at least tried to meet our needs., but were let down at every turn by the chef. Where do I start--my wife ordered Pot Stickers and they were ice cold when served. The breakfast potatoes were also ice cold. Three in our party ordered the French Toast which was under cooked and bacon which was overcooked. One member of the party sent back their french toast and when it came back out it was at least cooked. My omelet was over cooked and the crab in the omelet was not great. The best item of the day was the wheat toast with my omelet. The wait staff did bring us fresh and somewhat hotter breakfast potatoes. Also one of our group was in a wheel chair and one of the patio tables had to be moved so that the person could use the handicap ramp to the parking lot. I was embarrassed having relied on a Yelp review for this place. We have been in Delray almost a year and this was the second worst restaurant we have tried.

a delicious, high quality, foodie place! expect fine dining - delicious, interesting tastes & high quality ingredients. good service and miss lily, the owner, comes by to greet you. go now, before season, as you will get one on one service and it's quieter. don't be intimidated if there aren't many people there - it's so good!! I am sure it's much busier during season. it's kind of tucked into a resential area and i'm sure those residents love this place. we've had the jambalya, chicken pasta, burger, tomato bisque soup and all was fantastic. full bar & outdoor patios. good for special occasions altho you can be casual (it's south florida!). i need to find out if they offer a happy hour and if they do, stop by some friday after work.

I read previous reviews and choose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday and have a quiet romantic dinner with my husband. As I made the reservation the lady was a little curt but I figured she might be in the weeds, I know how that can be, so I did not give it much importance. Well I should have that woman LILY is absolutely the worst this restaurant has to offer. She was unfriendly to the max. Servers saved the evening totally made up for her disservice. Needless to say I will never go back as we'll as the table next to us. They said first and last visit. Decor is very poor in taste. The tables have these silly ceramic figurines that I have no relevance. Food was not high cuisine but acceptable. Can't say we hated it, definitely did not love it. Prices where ok.

Really enjoyed my first trip to Patio Delray. Lily (owner) was very gracious. I had the salmon special and it was very tasty. The portion size was above average for a restaurant in Delray. This is a great date spot or a place to bring work friends.

Food gets 4 or 5 stars. Service gets 2 or 3 stars. Overall, I'm giving a 3. When we arrived, the hostess (who I believe is also the manager), asked us if we had a reservation. When my husband replied, "no", she said, "Oooooh...hmm." She looked at us as if her mind was saying, "What's wrong with you?" Hahahaha! That was a CRAZY response given that there were only 4 full tables inside and 1 full table outside. Nutty, nutty, nutty! So, our first impression was not good. However, we had a $40 Groupon and were determined to find out why this place gets such high marks. We decided to sit outside. After all, it's called PATIO Delray for a reason, and the patio itself is decked out in beautiful foliage and nice patio furniture. This was SO the right choice! There was only one other couple seated outside, so it felt like we had our own little tropical oasis to ourselves. Our waiter was Joey, and oh boy did I like Joey - consistent smile and very pleasant approach each time he visited our table. The only thing that was a little odd was that after we received our meals, he never came back to check on us to see how everything tasted. Once we were finished, it took him another 20 minutes to come over to clear our plates. Since we were in no hurry, and the ambiance was so pretty, it really wasn't a big deal. It was just notable and a bit odd for a place that was fairly empty. Ok, now for the food -- I ordered the portabello mushroom sandwich but replaced the wedge fries with the house salad. They charged me an extra $3 to do this, which I think was really lame. In all fairness, Joey gave me a heads up that there would be an extra charge, but I had no idea it would be $3 (I figured $1.50-$2), and I figured it would be a more substantial salad. It was simple mixed greens, with maybe 3 grape tomatoes cut in half, and 3 slices of cucumber. No way was that worth a $3 upcharge to skip the wedge fries! My husband ordered the blackened shrimp alfredo. The thing about alfredo sauce is that so many restaurants make it so bland. Not so at Patio Delray. It was flavorful and pretty rich, with crumbles of blue cheese here and there. The amount of sundried tomatoes and cut asparagus were perfect, and the blackened shrimp was heavenly for my husband. While there were only 3 pieces of shrimp, they were HUGE! Oh! Almost forgot the appetizer. We ordered the grilled pita with sundried tomato pesto. The pesto was really good, but the pita was the bomb! It was blackened or grilled and had the BEST flavor. The bummer though is that the pita was cut into tiny triangles and they gave us only 5 pieces. We had so much of the sundried tomato pesto left over. That was disappointing. We could have asked for a couple more, but figured there would be another upcharge. While we normally don't order dessert, the special this evening was a brownie croissant bread pudding. How could we not indulge? We ordered it to go, heated it up the minute we got home, and spread the creamy glaze over the top. Fantastic choice for dessert. The portions at Patio Delray are big; we both had leftovers to take home, but the overall service brought it down to 3 stars. The first negative impression by the hostess wasn't good, and the ~40 minutes with no Joey was weird. Nevertheless, check this place out, but set your expectations correctly and make a reservation so the hostess treats you with a smile when you arrive!

Sometimes when I eat something I really enjoy, I turn into a five year old. I get this goofy grin and big eyes and usually say, "Yummy in my tummy!". That is exactly what I did while eating a this place (although quietly because it looks pretty silly!). I haven't had a decent restaurant meal since deciding to go on a self-imposed strict budget last month, so when I decided to reward myself with a nice meal, I definitely chose the right place! Before ordering we asked the server what she recommended. She went on to say that everything is very delicious, but the most popular are the Blue Crab Stuffed Madagascar Prawn and the Braised Short Rib Stew. We ordered both. The prawn entree was a very large (it said 8-10 ounce) shrimp with blue crabmeat stuffing. It was so good, but the stuff underneath it was even better. The prawn sits atop wild mushroom ricotta ravioli with a "truffle scented tarragon cream sauce". It was to die for! The braised short ribs were served in a double bowl with one side cradling cornbread and the other the meat, which is so tender you don't need your knife. The ribs are served with roasted root vegetables in a red wine concoction. I had some of this as well and it was savory and comforting. Loved it! We were on a roll, so we ordered dessert and tried a little of each of the chocolate creme brulee and the homemade brownie ice cream. I like creme brulee, but found this one tasted like heaven in a shallow bowl...creamy, chocolatey and wonderful. The ice cream rocked too. Aside from the great food, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. We sat outside on the patio because the weather was perfect and found the owner chatting up each table. We found her to be very personable and the serving staff helpful. I really like this place and give it a full fledged, "Yummy in my tummy" recommendation!

This restaurant is quite the Delray gem. We were seated in the patio which was very pleasant, had good music playing, and we were offered drinks straight away. The menu (which was a Christmas menu) made it hard to decide on one item because everything seemed delicious. I had the sautéed pompano which was made perfectly with purple and white fingerling potatoes and asparagus. I tasted the beef Wellington and was really taken away by the flavor combination of the horseradish mashed potatoes and the beef with the red wine sauce. (even better than it sounds) Dessert was a croissant egg nog bread pudding. Dinner did take about 20 min to hit the table but conversation was good and the quality of the food made it worthwhile.

The food was wonderful!! I had the grill cheese for lunch and bread pudding for dessert. I would definitely go there again. Super lunch with my best friend.

The hidden gem of Delray. Thanks to Groupon for informing us about this cute little restaurant. It reminded me of Key West and the atmosphere was perfect. The staff welcomed us and informed us specials going on. We got the meatballs to start off and they were good. It was cooked without all the oils and fat that can cause your heart to burn. Even Chris raved about them and he's not really into the healthy stuff that much. The chef gave us a complimentary appetizer of pita bread and tomato pesto sauce. It was a nice and delicious surprise. I knew what I wanted before I got there since I researched the menu before we got there. We both ordered the braised short rib grilled cheese sandwich. Oh my god! It simply made my mouth water with each bite and it was ridiculous. I could of had 10 of them if we would of stayed there. The brioche bread was perfectly toasted and the short rib was perfectly cooked. It was so juicy and the cheddar topping couldn't be beat. We had no room for dessert, even though it was very tempting. The one thing that I thought was kind of odd was that they charge to substitute a side when I asked about it. The chips I had with my sandwich were good, but they are already charging enough for the meal and that's why I found it strange that this great restaurant did that. The experience was enjoyable and I would definitely go back.

We went to Patio Delray with a Groupon deal. The ambiance was chic and very relaxing, and the owner and our waiter were very friendly. I ordered Alfredo pasta (because of high rating for this meal at yelp) and my husband ordered New York strip steak. We started with a fried calamari appetizer. It tasted very good but the sauce was little too salty. The Alfredo sauce was too heavy so I took more than half of my meal to go. I microwaved the leftover the following day and the pasta was floating in chunks of butter- no surprise why I walked around with an upset stomach for two days after this dinner. My husband's steak was good, but not steak-house good enough to be charging $34 for it. I would not go here unless you have a good Groupon deal as the menu was very pricey. They seemed to have a good selection of wine, but we did not have a chance to try.

The staff and owner are very courteous and pleasant. We went for Sunday brunch and the food was good but took a long time to get out. Much of the food was slightly overdone but tasty. I will definitely return. Great atmosphere.

there is a reason why this place is #1 on trip advisor. and rated 4.5 on yelp.....great food, great people, great ambiance. Miss Lilly was very nice. She made us feel right at home. We had our Ladies Night there. All asian young professionals trying to have a good time. I pre-read what others ate and drank, and ordered it. no regrets! yes the prawn is pricey, but who cares, you are out to dinner and it sounded (and tastes) delicious! the creme brule (from other reviews) was to die for. we ordered 2!!! overall, it was an awesome experience. Thank you for your service. I'll be back with my husband!

They serve a very real brunch here, complete with pretty good Bloody Mary, which, no offense, is hard to find in PBC. The service was STELLAR and much appreciated. I gotta say though, it was pricey for what it was. Brunch...in Delray...$15 per plate? I live in NYC and my brunches are typically $10. The $15 Bloody Mary with the oyster wasn't all it could be. Next time, I'll get the $10 Bloody Mary, sans oyster. Outside eating in the middle of January simply CANNOT BE BEAT. I'll see you again, Patio.

How do you rate a place with 5 star food and 1 star service? I have NO idea! The food at this place is great! The service . . not so much. Why would it take 40 minutes to serve my rare tuna? I have NO idea! I wouldn't mind so much, but with a 4-year-old in tow, it's not that much fun. Solution: tip just 10% this time, 5% next time . . . etc. . . . FOOD: 5 STARS SERVICE: 1 STAR 5+1=6 divide by 2 = 3

Found it through Groupon... Went for the Sunday brunch, fell in love :) It had such a perfect South Florida, almost Key West atmosphere. Tons of outside seating! The artistic wall decor added such a cool touch to the place which I believe is also for sale. More importantly, the food was wonderful! I had the caprese omelet which was so unique and tasty with a fresh chunk of mozzarella on top. Although I didn't order the mimosa, it looked incredibly tempting. Service was great! Beth's Tip: It looked like a great place to hold a bridal shower or something similar.

Off the beaten path but worth the trip! A great menu that is frequently changed up and kept fresh. The proprietor is very personable and she makes it a point to greet us everytime we are there. A nice place to dine outside when the weather is cooler. The bar is very modern and well stocked. We have even brought our dogs on occasion when dining on the patio and they are very pet friendly. Odly enough they never seem very crowded for such a great restaurant so service is alwas first class!

So as residents of Delray Beach we had Patio Delray Beach next on our list to visit! We arrived and the hostess who had no smile or customer service skills whatsoever apparently was also our server and after reading her bio...probably the chef. We felt rushed so we quickly ordered the French toast with apricot and the egg bacon cheese sandwich w/yellow & purple potatoes. The food was incredibly delicious but the service was lacking! She was quick to give us our bill but never returned to cash us out. We had to get up and walk up to the register to pay our bill! We will probably return because of the food and hopefully she will have additional staff on hand!

Once the Pineapple Grill, Patio Delray is an elegant little restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of Atlantic Ave. My husband and I had brunch out on the patio, and it was lovely. They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings-early afternoons. Portions were large and delicious and the Bloody Mary's were spicy.

I just called PATIO DELRAY in DELRAY BEACH about an existing reservation on Sat., 10/19 at 5:30 p.m. I called to ask her if she would do a prixe fix menu for this LARGE group. She starts chastising me for calling that i am getting 1000 points for this reservation etc etc. I simply AskED a question. I do not deserve to be treated like this. I would never go here nor recommend them! THe OWNER IS RUDE BEYOND BELIEF! SHE ALSO JUST CANCELLED MY RESERVATION WITHOUT ME DOING IT MYSELF. DISGUSTING!!

Went to Patio Delray for Mothers Day brunch and was unfortunately dissappointed. We had a 12:45 reservation and after serving ourselves the main courses for the brunch buffet we were more than dissappointed that the beautiful desserts we saw were ALL gone and they didnt have anymore to offer. I first asked if there were more of the lil desserts being brought out and the lady running the restaurant told me different ones than this morning would be put out.We waited about 20 mins and no more desserts were being put out so i asked her again and she said she had some saved for her customers later in the evening so i stated that it was obvious that the customers in the morning mattered as well as the ones in the evening but those of us that were here now dont??? This same lady blamed the customers before us for eating too many. It is terrible ethics to charge a set fee and run out of not one item but 90% and still charge the same amount. Our wait staff was excellent however i would not eat at this restaurant again because of the lack of honesty about what is being provided. At the least they could have offered a small discount being we werent provided with the items listed for brunch that day. We were not the only customers with the same complaint.

We made our first visit to Patio Delray using Groupon. Based on the Yelp and other ratings sources we were looking forward to having dinner there. We were not disappointed. From ambiance, service, menu selection, value to the quality of food there is no reason not to give a 5 Star rating. We enjoyed a Singapore Curry Noodles with Chicken and Shrimp dish and that night's special Braised Korean Beef Short Rib. Both were of high quality, large quantities, using fresh ingredients and presented in a very upscale manner. The depth of flavors in both were outstanding. We had plenty left to take home. Patio Delray is comfortably upscale and intimate. It is bright, friendly and inviting. The owner Ms Lily is engaging, professional and attentive to detail providing professional service at a high level. We will go back and enjoy another fine dinning experience.

The service is great but the food is mediocre. The ingredients don't taste fresh and its way overpriced. The two times we've been it's been nearly empty. I don't see this place lasting long with so many better, more reasonably priced options in Delray Beach.

A tasty and unexpected surprise. I had the Pan seared Fish special. It was well prepared, but the cut of fish could've been better. Served on a bed of polenta and fresh Asparagus that was perfectly creamy and crispy, it was a delicious entree. Lovey and I shared a duck pate appetizer that was transcendantly enveloping. Lovey enjoyed the bouillabaisse which was good but hard to differentiate. The patio has a couple signature desserts, nutella creme brulle and home made ice cream, they are well worth the extra caloric burden. So, quite friendly and attentive staff, good cocktails, better than average food, Please give them a try, we need more places like this around town.

I really enjoy this restaurant. I agree with Jan C. the food is great. I have yet to order something I didn't completely consume. I took a buddy of mine there to catch up when he was in town. He normally gets nervous when I pick the place but he was pleasantly surprised (I've made him eat sushi and Indian when he's more meat and potatoes). He agreed with my description of upscale American comfort food. He had the pork chop and cleaned his plate. I had the pheasant pate and tuna tartar and found both to be quite delicious. He also enjoyed trying a few different craft beers. I was busy with this Golden Chardonnay they have on the wine list. Not your typical Chardonnay but really great. I also hate to disagree with someone by name but Nicole seems off base. She also copy and pasted the exact comments on another food site. You'd think in this economy people would be more encouraging of new businesses. Especially those that haven't even had a Grand Opening yet. I won't rebut her again here as I did on the other website but suffice it to say I feel her comments are of a more person nature and mean spirited, not an accurate reflection of the restaurant. I am giving them 5 stars even though they have a few minor kinks they're working out I have total faith when those are resolved they will be a 5 star plus. I'm so excited for when they finally have their Grand Opening and wish them luck!

Been to Patio multiple times and always had a good experience. It's a nice quiet place with outdoor seating and dog friendly is always a plus. The food is always good no matter what you order. Service can be spotty if there is a party but nothing to get upset over. Prices are slightly higher than average but the great food makes it worth it.

Food very expensive, especially given the VERY small portions. Calamari was way overcooked, salmon carpaccio serving was little more than a couple bites. We had a Groupon, but manager (owner?) refused to accept saying it was suppose to be for 4 people (it said nothing on the Groupon). We spent enough for 4 people, but she offered no concessions..even had the nerve to bring us another Groupon printout to show us how/why we and Groupon were wrong. They have lost multiple customers. I'll never go back and wouldn't recommend this place. It's as expensive as Atlantic Ave restaurants but doesn't deliver in quality.

Waaaay overpriced for the food. Kids pasta with butter was close to $14, although it was nice that they volunteered so many kids options. Service was pretentious and not equaled in the food. Have been eating out on vacation for two weeks and you expect to get some losers, but this is the only rip off that really stands out.

A great Yelp-directed find. Off the beaten path in Delray Beach - that is, not on Atlantic Avenue - but well worth the trip. We went on a Saturday evening and the place was sparsely populated, which was strange (and disheartening from a longevity perspective) but nice for our seven-person group. We did not have any problem with the service - in fact, our service was terrific. Of course, there were only three other tables occupied. But our waiter was great. The food ranged from very good to spectacular. I had the Madagascar Prawn, basically because I had to have the biggest prawn I've ever had. Freaking huge. But, unfortunately, overcooked. Not shoe-leather overcooked, but definitely chewy, which was too bad. Hence the 4 stars instead of five. But the ravioli and sauce under it was spectacular, and would have made up for the missing star but for the price of the dish. My wife had the seared ahi, and disagreed with my award of four stars - she would literally travel to Delray Beach from our home in Montana just to have her dish again. She said it was one of the best meals she ever had, and we travel and eat out a LOT. But, I'm the reviewer here, so four stars it is. She'd give it ten. We did go for several of the desserts. The Nutella creme brulee was awesome, although they did over-burn one end of the sugar top (which is hard for them to tell since it's over nutella - brown over brown, that is). I found the bread pudding to be lacking - specifically, lacking a sauce. I love bread pudding, especially with a whiskey or rum sauce, and this had no sauce at all and was a bit dry. But the non-bread pudding connoisseurs in the group enjoyed it.

Although the GPS took us down the road before Palm Trail, we did eventually find it and were so glad we did! The wait staff was extremely friendly and while we were deciding what to order, brought out a complimentary appetizer for us to share. OMG I could have eaten just that. It was a sundried tomato pesto with truffle oil, served with pita triangles. YUM YUM YUM. I'm glad I didn't stop there however, as the we also had the potstickers with hoisin sauce which were really light and flavorful along with the pheasant and istachio Pate with Elderflower Orange Jam French Baguette Fruit Garnish. It was a super flavorful combination and had me licking my fork clean. We then went on to share the Blue Crab Stuffed Madagascar Prawn with Truffle Scented Mushroom Tarragon Cream and Wild Mushroom Ricotta Ravioli. The prawn was huge and tender but we both fell totally for what was underneath! The ravioli was so fresh and light and the mushroom and truffle flavors were incredible. We could have just had that! Unfortunately, we were too stuffed for desert Also worth mentioning, they have a happy hour (only at the bar) with half priced drinks and appetizers from 4-6pm.

Great place off the beaten path in Delray for a great meal. Pet friendly, so being able to go with my dogs and sit outside a huge plus for me. The food is great - Owner is a very nice lady who seems to be highly involved in the guest experience. I was disappointed they got rid of my favorite tuna appetizer, but never had a bad meal there - it is a little high on the price, but Id rather pay there and have a quiet night than deal with the Atlantic Ave crowds and parking sometimes. A very nice stress-free evening out with friends every time!

For me, this is one of the best restaurants in all of south florida and is definately world class. The ambience is relaxing with a touch of formality but the service is consistent without being annoying. The food, there's nothing one can say, its beautifully prepared and presented, comes out fresh from the kitchen without delay and each and every item is delicious. In this category, I don't know of anything that competes. Particularly the selections of appetizer, main course, beer, wine... it all just goes together. This place is a winner. Crab cakes are outstanding, Chilean sea bass fresh and perfectly cooked. And did I mention the good music?

I am extremely glad I found this restaurant on Yelp. Once again Yelp members you all have nailed it! The Patio Delray is the best restaurant I have been to in the Palm Beach County area. First of all the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the ambiance was perfect. We had the Tuna and Avocado Tartar appetizer which is an absolute must for avocado fans. If you like IPA's I tried the Cigar Factory America IPA which was a perfect Micro Brew, a must try. I tried the Wahoo which was absolutely amazing and my wife had a giant prawn with sea scallops. Just like other reviews have stated, we clean our plates and thought about licking them clean. For desert we had the Nutella creme-brulee which I got a small spoonful because my wife defended the rest of the desert with her knife. I can't think of anything negative to say about our dining experience. I have told everyone I know about the restaurant and We are definitely going to be going back soon. This restaurant is a must for anyone who loves food! Keep up the outstanding food and service!

Food: The tuna tartar is amazing. And the nutella creme brulee is heavenly! Service: The owner came to my table and the she suggested her signature cocktail. Than she went back behind the bar and made the drink for me and served it. This is 5 star service! The place: Warm inviting and comfortable, the place where I want to spend a few hours, not just eat and go. The music was ok, I just don't like jazz. But fortunately not overwhelming. Parking: Behind the restaurant there are more parking spots. Overall: EXCELLENT, a must go!

i took my mother and grandmother out for dinner and we were delighted by the service and food. the atmosphere is beautiful, and we could not get enough of our meals. i had the noodle bowl, incredible. my grandmother's crab cakes were to die for as was the preparation of my mother's fish - floated in asparagus soup. for dessert we couldn't resist the nutella creme brulee. our server was attentive but did not interrupt the flow of our eating experience. very professional and well mannered. highly recommended for a nice night out.
